Meet the Spouses
The Startup Spouses chronicles the entrepreneurial adventures of a husband and wife team as they work out of their tiny San Francisco apartment to start their own web-based business. Our goal is to share our learnings and challenges, wins and failures, with a dose of humor and instruction. Oh, and if we happen to get a divorce as a result of this venture, we’ll fill you in on that too.
Kate Miffitt is the brains of the operation and provides humbling reality checks and project plans. She is an instructional designer who has dabbled in teaching, coaching, training, e-learning, and writing. She is passionate about good design and engaging instruction. She is also an avid martini enthusiast and 80s music lover.
Kris Keimig is the mad genius of the pair whose schemes, dreams, and business ideas flow like stream of consciousness and annoy his wife. He is the director of internet marketing for Hot Topic Media, and has worked in the web marketing industry for over 7 years. He has also been a dating guru, programmer, failed 50 taco eater, photographer, and pizza deliveryman.
